Treñas also met with top executives of
Lopez-owned First Balfour relative to their proposal for an electric or

in the transportation industry. The Lopezes trace their roots to Iloilo.
“This will be very good for Metro Iloilo since this will help us avoid what happened to the traffic situation of the NCR and Cebu. I look forward to this project and it is my hope that it will move forward smoothly," said Treñas.
After the Central and Terminal Markets Public-Private Partnership (PPP) has been finalized with SM Prime, the city’s PPP team is now discussing the Waste-To-Energy (WTE) unsolicited proposal of Metro Pacific.
“I am excited about this WTE proposal since this will help us manage our waste. After which, we will take up the unsolicited proposals for the construction of housing for informal settlers. Also included in the line-up for PPP proposals is the proposed reclamation,” Treñas stressed.
“Iloilo City is continuing its efforts to level up. We are targeting to be one of top 5 most livable highly urbanized cities by 2028," he added. (Iloilo City PIO)
