PCCI Iloilo to host Iloilo Business Week '22 on Aug 21-31; Tourists to enjoy up to 80% discounts from participating commercial establishments

Iloilo City, Philippines—The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iloilo (PCCI Iloilo) held an intimate afternoon Media Launch yesterday, July 20, 2022, at Muelle Deli Restaurant, Iloilo City for an upcoming big event that will highlight various events and activities aimed at creating greater awareness of regional business opportunities for the Ilonggos.

PCCI Iloilo will host Iloilo Business Week 2022—the first-ever Iloilo Business Week on August 21-31, 2022 as part of the 85th Iloilo Charter Day Celebration.

The event targets to provide a high-grade venue for continuing education and network building as well as to honor the Ilonggo business community.

Starting off with the BIG ILOILO SALE on August 21-31 malls, restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments in Iloilo and the Province will have their respective promos up to 80% discount. This event aims to make the Iloilo Province as a tourist destination every August every year. Iloilo Business Expo (ILOBEX), tagged as the "biggest business expo in Western Visayas" will also take place on August 24-28 expecting more than 100 MSMEs to participate in the exhibit.

Another exciting activity called "What's Up Western Visayas" Business Conference is expected to gather more than 200 entrepreneurs from different parts of the region to discuss trends in the business community. It will highlight speakers and business experts coming from different industries as a panel to be joined by Governors from the province of Aklan, Antique, Guimaras, Capiz, and Iloilo. PCCI will also award titles "Ilonggo Entrepreneur Awards" in three categories to honor the awardees' creativity and resiliency during the pandemic and will be presented on August 22. "Iloilo City is now booming and we want to maintain that momentum by bringing possible investments here. With Iloilo Business Week, we are presenting various business opportunities in this part of the region and helping our local economy recover from the effects of the pandemic." PCCI - Iloilo President Fulbert Woo stated. PCCI -Iloilo Chairman Dr. Sandra Sarabia-Gomez highlighted that the importance of the event is to further spur economic opportunities in Iloilo City.
