These offsite payment centers can accept and will start collecting tax payments from businesses. These payment sites will help mitigate the overcrowding in Iloilo City Hall as the public can renew and process their business permits from any of these locations.
All newly-launched payment centers are fully furnished and with personnel assigned to assist businessmen. Application for Integrated Business Permits and Licensing System (IBPLS) is also available in these centers. Under IBPLS, the processing of permits will be digital or fully online.
Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, who led the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Festive Walk, said that these centers will make transactions more efficient and accessible to the public.
“We are constantly looking for ways to bring our services closer to the people, and ensure they feel and see that the city government is always working for them,” Treñas said.
